Break with a hydraulic hammer

You pick the breaker for the carrier, not the other way around: hammer weight must sit in the range your excavator, backhoe or skid steer can take. SIMAQ DB breakers run quiet — built for urban work.

Field rules

Do it right the first time

01

Field rule: the breaker should weigh ~10% of the carrier's operating weight.

02

Strike 15–30 seconds per spot, then reposition. Hammering a spot that won't break overheats the piston.

03

Never pry with the breaker: the boom pays the bill. It breaks by impact, not leverage.
