Scaffold handling

To build a safe scaffold, set it on firm ground and level it with screw jacks, fit both cross-braces on each frame before going up a level, cover the full width with planks and, if it's mobile, keep the casters locked while working. Each SIMAQ scaffold frame (A001) takes its two cross-braces (A002); the A003 screw jack levels it and the A004 plank measures 25 cm × 3.00 m.

What a scaffold section is made of

A section is two frames and two cross-braces. Screw jacks go underneath to level it (or locking casters if it moves) and planks on top.

How many scaffold sections do I need?

Multiply the bays along the length by the levels of height: sections = bays × levels. Your sales advisor confirms each frame's height in the quote.

Can I level a scaffold with stones or wedges?

No: level it with screw jacks. Stones, blocks or wedges shift under load and the scaffold leans.

Can you move a scaffold with people on it?

Never. Get people and material down, release the brakes, move it, and lock the casters again before anyone climbs back up.
