Short answer
Frame sets = bays along × levels up. With the SIMAQ A001 frame (1.75 m tall, 3 m bay), a 12 m front where you stand at 5 m takes 4 bays × 3 levels = 12 frame sets and 24 braces, plus screw jacks (or locking casters if it moves) on the first-level legs and gap-free platforms at each working level. Calculate it below with your dimensions.
SIMAQ · How many scaffold frames do I need?
Your scaffold
12 frame sets · 24 braces
4 bays of 3 m cover 12 m; 3 levels of 1.75 m put the platform at 5.25 m.
| Part | How many | Why |
|---|---|---|
| A001 scaffold frame set | 12 | 4 bays × 3 levels |
| A002 cross-brace | 24 | 2 per set |
| A003 screw jack | 10 | one per first-level leg |
| A004 platform (25 cm × 3 m) | — | Full width, no gaps, on 4 bays (each working level). Your advisor confirms how many fit across. |
| Guardrail and internal ladder | — | At each working level at height |

The A001 frame is 1.75 m tall and 1.55 m wide, with a 3 m bay with the X brace. Levels and bays are counted from those dimensions.
Two per set, locked before going up a level. Without them the frame isn't rigid.
Screw jacks to level a fixed scaffold on firm or uneven ground (never bricks or wedges). Locking casters if it has to move; brakes stay on while working.
No. P001 props (2.20 to 4.00 m) hold formwork and temporary loads. If you're pouring a slab, count them separately.
