5 minHow to use the aerial platform
The platform (scissor or boom) takes the crew up to work at height safely. Firm ground, outriggers and harness are non-negotiable.

Pre-use inspection
Check controls, hydraulic leaks, tires/tracks, guardrails and the e-stop. Test the controls low first.
- 02
Firm, level ground
Set on ground that bears the load. Lower and lock outriggers; check level (bubble).
- 03
Harness anchored to the basket point
On a boom, harness with lanyard to the certified anchor point. Close the basket gate/chain.
- 04
Raise slowly, looking up
Raise smoothly, watching for power lines, structures and overhangs. Respect max height and reach.
- 05
Don't reach outside the rail
Bring the platform to the work instead of leaning out. Keep your body inside the basket always.

- Outriggers down and level confirmed.
- Respect the basket's max load.
Avoid this
- Don't climb the rail to gain height.
- Don't drive it elevated unless the machine allows it.
- Don't work near power lines without safe clearance.

- Harness, chin-strap hard hat, boots and gloves.
- Safe distance from power lines.
- High winds: don't operate at height.
