5 minHow to use the vibratory plate
The plate compacts by high-frequency vibration: ideal for granular soil, base, pavers and open areas. Fast and even.

Pre-start check
Engine oil, air filter and a clean base plate. If it has a water tank for asphalt, fill it.
- 02
Start and go full throttle
Like the rammer: half throttle skids. At full throttle the vibration is right and the plate self-propels.
- 03
Travel straight and overlap
Compact in straight lanes overlapping ~15 cm. Start at the edges and close toward the center.
- 04
Thin lifts, several passes
Granular: 20–30 cm lifts, 3–4 passes. On pavers, use the urethane mat so you don't scuff the block.
- 05
On asphalt, water is a must
Open the sprinkler so hot asphalt won't stick to the plate. Gentle passes until it's sealed.
Do this
- Always run full throttle for the correct frequency.
- For pavers, urethane mat and joint sand.
- Make sure the plate isn't dragging large stones that hammer it.
Avoid this
- Don't use it on clay/silt: cohesive soil ignores vibration.
- Don't compact thick lifts — the bottom stays loose.
- On asphalt, never run with the sprinkler closed.
Safety
- Hearing protection, glasses, gloves and steel-toe boots.
- Firm grip on the handle; keep hands and feet from under the plate.
- On a slope, work top-to-bottom, never across it.
